Upcoming Hikes

 Hike Announcement M24 Kopac Snowshoe Saturday 1/31/26 9AM 

There seems to be enough snow to try our snowshoes this Saturday 1/31 at 9AM.

If you've never snowshoed or don't want to go too far then this is the hike for you.

Meet at 9AM at the Kopac Kiosk on Bliven Sherman Rd

There are several options:

• .3 mile to the observation deck and back to the kiosk.

• 1.3 miles observation deck > Bowman L and back (100' elevation gain)

• 1.3 miles observation deck > new trail/old trail loop v(0' elevation gain)

• 2 miles observation deck > Whaley trail junction and back (15' elevation gain)

We can return at anytime to the kiosk, back to the cars.

Then if some want to, return to the trail and snowshoe on!

Bring snowshoes water, snack, hiking boots / poles and dress for the cold weather.

Meet at the corner of Preston & Tower Rds. Sunday 2/1/26 at 9AM

Keep in mind access to that corner is via CR10 - Tower Rd or Bowman Lake - Steer Rd

Preston Rd. is seasonal West of Tower & Steer Roads

Bring water, snack, snowshoes, hiking boots/poles and dress for the cold weather!

The hike will be 2.8 miles elevation gain 134'

All FLT Trail on Private Land Closed for the Day

When: Monday February 2, 2026

All sections of the Finger Lakes Trail System, that are on private land, are CLOSED for 24 hours on Monday February 2, 2026. Please respect private ownership rights and refrain from using those sections of the trail on that day.  This annual closure on the first Monday in February is to reassure landowners that we do not establish a permanent right-of-way by walking there every single day of the year. If you violate this closure you are guilty of trespassing.
